Our Story

The Panhandle Resource Conservation and Development, Inc is a public benefit 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is committed to assisting local communities through our five five areas of focus: economic development, recreation and tourism, natural resources improvement, community improvement and education.  We are a part of the 12 RC&D areas that cover and serve all 93 Nebraska counties.

Panhandle RC&D is a member organization, with a governing council of local citizens and governments focused on finding resources to benefit our local communities.  The council has an ongoing mission to review and accept project proposals from local communities, organizations, and other non-profits.  Once supported by RC&D, these local betterment projects can receive administrative, financial, grant-seeking, and development assistance through council committees/task forces, as well as RC&D staff.
